View Entire Calendar	The STA is looking forward to another successful school year and plan to continue to support the Smithtown School District and the Smithtown community. This year the public relations committee will continue to work to build a sense of union identity and responsibility through activities that involve the entire membership, and to improve relationships between members of the STA and administration, the Board of Education, and the community. Listed below are some of our accomplishments and activities thus far this year: STA social raised money for Autism awareness & teachers participated in the “Walk now for Autism” Participated in Homecoming * Organized a district wide “Dollar for denim” day-November 4^th, proceeds going to Breast Cancer research & awareness & participated in the Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach * Welcomed all of the new teachers at New Teacher Orientation * Recognized all three fire departments in the community and made donations to their annual drives Comments/ideas?
